Everyone was so friendly and treated our elder parents like special guests. Irma was a fantastic server; our orders were tricky and yet she accommodated each happily, so we could get all our desires met. Delicious shredded beef, red chile, adovada and rellenos. The live music was a sweet touch!

I haven't been to Albuquerque to eat at this restaurant in over 20 years. It is still the absolute best and the service is phenomenal! If you're ever looking for something truly authentic New Mexican make sure you come here.
Casa de Benavidez never disappoints! My husband had the shredded beef chimi, and I enjoyed a combo plate with a chile relleno and cheese enchilada. Generous portions—though I wished I had a little more for leftovers! The sopapillas were perfectly pillowy, and the Baileys coffee was so fresh it made me realize I might actually like hot coffee after all. Service was quick, our server was attentive, and the hostess was incredibly sweet and welcoming We’ll definitely be back soon!
Definitely a must try New Mexican spot in Albuquerque! The food is superb! When you start eating your taste buds will be yearning for more! I ordered the red chile chicken enchiladas and my wife got the cheese enchiladas Christmas. We both enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was awesome too, they had someone playing live guitar there while we ate. Service was on point and very professional. Definitely a five star location. If you are hungry and get the chance go here! You will not be disappointed that's for sure! They'll top you off leaving satisfied with their sopapillas!
Casa de Benavidez tells your guest that ABQ is not Mexican, not Tex-Mex, but is New Mexican,...the food here is New Mexican, like the food from New Orleans is Creole/Cajun. You can only get this kind of food in New Mexico. The place has a take-out-order side and "the restaurant side". The outside looks like crap, but the inside has a garden that gives a calming and elegant atmosphere. The crowd was very well mannered, quiet and NOT ONE DRUNK! The food was Fantastic New Mexican and the service was even better. If you are in ABQ during the Summer months, Casa de Benavidez has an absolutely lush, outdoor patio garden to dine on.
An Unforgettable Group Lunch at Casa de Benavidez a true gem of a restaurant I couldn't recommend this place more if you like great food and great service. My coworkers and I recently had a fantastic lunch at Casa de Benavidez. There were 15 of us, so we expected some hiccups, but the service was truly amazing. Our waitress took every single order without writing a thing down and still managed to get them all exactly right! Not a single mistake was made. The food itself was outstanding. My plate was loaded with delicious, authentic New Mexican cuisine, and it was clear everyone else felt the same way. At the end of the meal, there were nothing but empty plates all around. Only three people had to-go boxes, and that was only because the portions were so generous they couldn't finish it all. This place is definitely a great spot for a large group. The service is top-notch, and the food is even better. We'll absolutely be back!
